Job Training and Placement

For many of our folks, the desire to work is strong, but the path to a steady paycheck is full of closed doors. Our Job Training and Placement service is built to open those doors for veterans and formerly incarcerated individuals ready for a fresh start.

We begin with a real conversation about where you have been and where you want to go - not just "What job can you get right now?" but "What kind of work could you see yourself keeping?" Together, we identify your strengths, past experience (including skills gained inside or in the military), and any barriers such as gaps in work history, records, or health needs. From there, we help you build or rebuild the basics: resumes that tell your story with honesty and strength, practice interviews that address your background without letting it define you, and soft skills like communication, teamwork, and showing up on time even when transportation is shaky. We also connect you to short trainings, certifications, or workshops that fit your goals and schedule.

One client had spent years in and out of prison and believed no one would ever hire him. Through our program, he completed an entry‑level training, practiced how to talk about his past in interviews, and met with employers who are open to second chances. He landed a job he has kept for over a year, and now he mentors others coming up behind him.

Our relationships with local employers, workforce programs, and veteran‑focused initiatives mean we can make warm introductions instead of just handing you a list of websites. We stay in touch during those first weeks on the job, helping you troubleshoot issues before they turn into setbacks.

If you are ready to work but unsure how to move from hope to a hiring manager's "yes," our Job Training and Placement service offers coaching, connections, and steady support until your effort starts showing up in your paycheck.
